PORTRAIT SESSIONS:
How do I schedule my portrait session?
You can follow one of these links, Portrait, Wedding or call us at (855) WE PHOTO (937-4686), or even send an email to admin@halleyimages.com.
How much is your session fee and do you offer packages?
Session fees vary on location, and the type of photography you select. On location sessions are slightly higher due to the transportation of our lights and equipment. Yes, we offer several different packages that are creatively put together to afford a cost savings to you. We would be happy to discuss pricing when you schedule your appointment.
What should our family wear for our session?
The color of the clothes should coordinate with the background. If you are having a beach portrait done, light clothes are the preferred choice. All white and white and khaki look best for beach portraits. Jeans and dark tops look great for a session at a park. Everyone should be dressed in the same colors or coordinating colors. Avoid patterns, stripes and plaids. Colors like these will pull the attention away from your faces. You should also avoid any one person wearing a different color combination than the rest of the group. Eyes will be drawn to that person instead of the whole group.
How long should I expect my session to be?
The length of the session depends on the location and the number of subjects to be photographed. You will better know this answer when we schedule your session.
Do you touchup the photographs and is there any charge for the touchup?
Yes we touchup the images that you select for your purchase. There is no charge for basic touch up on the images you purchase. We do offer touch ups on Braces, Tattoos, and major changes.
How many poses will I be able to select?
The amount of poses is determined by the package you select. Each package has a pre-determined amount of poses.
How do I select the photographs for purchase?
We schedule an appointment to view your images at your home. There is no charge for this appointment, but we do ask that all the decision makers are present. If you are here on vacation, we suggest you schedule your appointment when you set up your session. We also offer on-line proofing.
What is your payment policy regarding session fees and products that I may order?
The session fee is paid in advance. It guarantees the photographer’s time for your session. When you place your order for your prints, 50% deposit is required at that time. The balance is due when you pick up your package, Session fees are non-refundable.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and personal checks made payable to “Halley Images”.
If we schedule a beach portrait, what happens if it rains?
If you are on vacation, we suggest scheduling your beach portrait at the beginning of your vacation. We also block off an additional day as a rain date. If there are no other days due to rain, we can always have the session done in a studio as a last resort.
After I place my order, how long will it take for my order to be completed?
After you place your order, we expect to have your final product completed in three to four weeks. If we can get it to you sooner, we will. If it is delayed for any reason, we will promptly notify you. We always keep you informed on the progress of you order.

Can guests take photographs during formals and special moments in the ceremony and reception?
Halley Images is the exclusive photographer for your wedding. For best results during your formals, it is to your advantage to limit guests taking photographs while the photographer is taking photographs. This helps prevent someone looking in another direction, this will also delay in posing and set-up shots. We also require you to have all parties present for photographs so we can finish in a timely manor. This will get you and your wedding party back to the reception. We will offer guests the chance at the end of our photos to take some of their own.
If you are having a beach wedding, we ask that everyone remain seated during the ceremony. For some reason people feel that they can get up and walk behind the couple to take shots. That never happens in a church, and beach weddings need to be treated with the same reverence. During events in your ceremony, Halley Images requests that no one be on the dance floor during special dances and that everyone is behind the photographer when the couple is cutting the cake. This is imperative to providing you the images you want us to capture.
